Busy Labor Day Weekend

Did you miss him? Well, we did, too!

photo taken for my mom on her birthday.
We had such a busy week and weekend filled with lots of traveling, starting my new nanny job, celebrating my mom's birthday, going to a friend's wedding, church, cleaning the car, and going to the zoo with my cousin and her husband. Josiah got to spend a lot of time with his grandparents while we ran around like crazy people.

We finally got Josiah on a really strict schedule to get him used to my new nanny job when he comes with me.  He did so great with the set times we've laid out now for putting him down for naps and feeding.  He's just so easy going!

This week will be just as busy as the last, EXCEPT it will end on Thursday when my mom, Josiah, and I will go on vacation to California! I am so excited to do a trip with the three of us, but we are really going to miss Joe. I am hoping he is able to use this time alone to hang out with his guy friends, parents, and do things that he usually wouldn't have time to do when we are usually around.

In preparation for the trip, I am finally getting a hair makeover tonight from my cousin.  Then, I will need to figure out how to pack a suitcase that will fit everything Josiah and I will need for our trip.  Should get interesting...

Hope everyone else enjoyed their Labor Day weekend, and are excited for this cooler weather. I am trying to be, but I can't help but think of what quickly comes after fall... so not ready for snow...

Contest - Palookie Blanket

The name of this blanket makes me laugh every time.

"Josiah! Do you want your Palookie Blanket?!"

What a cute and funny name for such a unique and awesome product.

What exactly is a Palookie Blanket, you ask? Well, listen here, people:
"A soothing, soft, comfy blankie attached to their paci makes it easy for baby to find if the paci is dropped. It also helps baby self soothe when they are going to sleep and can provide tactile stimulation for curious fingers. Your baby doesn't use a paci? No problem! The paci unclips from the ring to make the blankie easy to attach to a stroller, car seat, or teether as well. Paci Blankies are all handmade in the USA and are approximately 14.5"x14.5" and finished off with a soft satin binding that your little one will love." - Palookie.com
A pacifier/blanket hybrid. It doesn't get any better than that.

I can't ever tell if Josiah is still into his pacifier or not. His preferences change daily. But, as he starts to begin chewing on his fingers and drooling more, I am just waiting for a little white "toof" to pop out of his gums and say, "hey, guys!"  Sometimes, he wants a pacifier. Sometimes, he would rather chew on his blanket to help out with his uncomfortable mouth. The Palookie Blanket works great for this. Josiah can choose what he'd rather gnaw on, the pacifier or the blanket, and life stays happy.  It's kind of become our go-to "toy" of choice for Josiah's gums, because the chew toys still seem to be to hard for him to chew.

I absolutely love all of the fabrics options come with these blankets. Palookie has come up with such a variety of colors and patterns to fit any trendy baby's style. They also have the wonderful option of "building" your own blanket.  How fun is that? Since I am Josiah's mom and know everything about him, I know for a fact that his favorite color is blue, and he loves animals. I just know, okay?

Well, now here is your chance to win your very own Palookie Blanket for your little one, or someone else who may have a little one that you adore.

Here are the rules:

- Leave a comment telling me what your favorite snack (whether it be a mid-afternoon or midnight) is to eat.

I'm writing this while I am hungry. Sorry.

If you wish to up your chances, you can also do any of the following, but you must leave a separate comment for each:

- Leave a comment that you voted for me on Vote For Us @ TopBabyBlogs.Com - A Top Baby Blog List By topbabyblogs.com

That's it!

Good luck to everyone who enters! I really look forward to your comments on your favorite snack... Because, I am still really hungry...

Absent This Week

Sorry, friends and family. Posts will be very sparse for the remainder of this week.

I started a new nanny job, I will be babysitting, and I will have two weddings to plan for this weekend.

And, Baby has been hanging out with his grandparents all week, so there is nothing to post about him.

Because, I will barely get to see him. :(

But, do expect a fun contest tomorrow on a sweet little product called a Palookie Blanket. Ohhhh...
